Bronze (AE, 17.90 g 12), Caesarea Paneas, year 26 = 85/6. Traces of inscription Laureate head of Vespasian to right. Rev. -/- Tyche standing left, holding cornucopia and two grain ears. AJC 30. Hendin 610. RPC 2274. TJC 158. With a remarkably fine portrait of Vespasian. About very fine.

Æ 28mm (11.54 g, 12h). Caesarea Paneas mint. Dated RY 26 of his second era (86/7 CE). KAICAP • CEBAC • AVTOKP • TITOC •, laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Titus right, wearing gorgoneion on breastplate / ETO KS BA/AGRI PPA, Nike standing right, holding wreath in extended right hand and palm in left over left shoulder. RPC II 2276 (same obv. die as illustration); Meshorer 160 (same obv. die as illustration); SNG ANS 290; Hendin -. Good VF, blue-black patina with trace of olive and brown, minor roughness. Struck with dies of exceptionally fine style for series.



AE 26 minted under Domitian, dated year 26 (86/7 C.E.). AJC pl. 14, 30. Hen-610. Laureate head right of the deified Vespasian, father of Domitian. Reverse: Turreted Tyche standing left. Repatinated, otherwise Very Fine.

AE 25 mm (9.73 g). Uncertain mint, year 26 (Under Domitian, 85/6 C.E.). Laureate head of Domitian right / Square altar; date across field. AJC II p. 255, 34; Hendin 614. Fine/Good VF, dark brown patina with sandy highlights. Nicely detailed altar. An unusual coin featuring Latin legends but the date in Greek.
